Service Description

Please join us in sharing a beautiful and transformative afternoon connecting to your breath and medicine from the Amazon, while immersing yourself in sound healing. Our ceremony will begin with a brief introduction and opening prayer. As a group we will lead into a conscious connective breathwork exercise. Conscious connective breathing is an active circular breathing technique that emphasizes the engagement of the esophagus to the diaphragm. This style of breathwork is intended to engage the Vagus Nerve (Cranial Nerve X) which activates the Parasympathetic Nervous System (PNS). The PNS is part of the autonomic nervous system that signals the body slow down, rest, digest, and regenerate. When we are able to disengage the fight-flight response, the Sympathetic Nervous System (SNS), then we are able to reset our mental and emotional triggers to begin the healing process and restore the body to a neutral state of being. After our breathwork experience we will then move into the Hapé and Sound Bath experience. Hape is a sacred shamanic snuff medicine from the Amazon. Its various properties contain profound healing effects. Hapé is made from different medicinal plants for different intentions such as inducing visions; increasing energy; grounding components; and enhancing the senses with the aromatic fragrance of each plant used in the mixture. The medicine used relfects the jungle’s essence and the blow is the wind of the forest. Come and experience the spirit of the jungle though hape. Live sound music will be offered during the service of Hape. Sound Baths create frequencies used to cleanse and shift our physical and energetic fields. This happens when our energetic bodies begin to match the healing frequencies being omitted from the instruments. These frequencies also shift the brain frequencies to engage the rest, digest, and repair part of the nervous system. Instruments used are drums, singing bowls, koshi chimes, rain sticks, gongs and more, including vocal toning, seed sounds, mantras and affirmations. Using sound frequencies for healing dates back thousands of years. Quartz crystal beds and sound chambers were used in ancient Egypt. Indigenous tribes use sound to cleanse, heal, and balance dis-eased community members. Using all of these healing techniques as a consistent practice can reduce symptoms of anxiety, depression, PTSD, blood pressure, anger, inflammation and most importantly stress.
